VINEGAR USES FOR THE BATHROOM

Chrome and Stainless Steel:  straight white vinegar will disinfect and polish fixtures; appy with spong, then buff with soft cloth.

Toilet Bowl:  use 1/2 cup straight white vinegar, let stand an hour or overnight and flush.  For bad stains, follow vinegar with biodegradable cleanser, after 2 hours brush and flush.  If stains persist use Clorox bleach (1/2 cup) overnight.

Sink, Tub and Shower:  spray with 80/20 vinegar-water mixture, leave 10 minutes, then scrub and rinse.

Shower Curtains:  put throught washer rinse cycle with 1 to 2 cups white vinegar.  spray occassionaly with 50/50 vinegar-water solution to help prevent mold.  Also if shower curtain is dirty at bottom, fill up tub with cold water and 1 cup of clorox bleach and let sit overnight.

Garbage Pails:  disinfect with a warm water and white vinegar solution.  Let set for an hour or overnight.

VINEGAR USUS FOR THE LAUNDRY ROOM

Washer Tub and Hoses:  remove soap accumulations by runnning machine for full cycle with pint of white vinegar.

New Clothers, Linens, etc:  to remove manufacturing chemicals and new smell odors, add 1 to 2 cups white vinegar to first wash before using.

Perspiration Odors (cloths, socks,etc.) and Stained Clothes:  soak overnight in 1/4 cup of vinegar and enough water to cover or soak in washer or pan, then wash in morning.

Clothes Final Rinse Cycle:  to help remove static and lint add 1/2 cup white vinegar.

To soften and Disinfect Fabric, Clothes, Diapers, etc:  add 1/4 cup white vinegar to most laundry loads.  (Do not use toxic fabric softeners.)

Fruite and Grass Stains:  dab with straight white vinegar within 24 hours to safely remove most stains and spots.

Musky Smells:   to remove odor and freshen clean cotton clothes just sprinkle with white vinegar and press. 

Steam Iron Plate:  to eliminate mineral deposits, fill iron reservoir with straight white vinegar and allow to steam on rag, then fill with plain water and turn upside down and drain out.  Scorched Fabric:  gently rub with white vinegar, then wipe with clean, white cloth.
