Household Cleaning Hints with Vinegar
White vinegar is an effective and inexpensive household cleaner, deodorizer and disinfectant; which replaces commercial household cleaners that are full of chemicals and additives harmful to Mother Nature and you. but please remember: use only the healthiest - Bragg raw, organic unfiltered apple cider vinegar (with the "mother") for all human consumption and for your skin and hair.
VINEGAR USES FOR KITCHEN CLEANING
Appliances and Countertops: clean and disinfect with a white vinegar-dampened sponge or cloth.
Greasy Areas: mix 1/4 cup white vinegar with 2 cups hot water and add 1 to 2 dashes of biodegradable liquid soap. (keep mixture in handy, labeled spray bottle.
Sponges and Dish Rags: disinfect and deodorize by soaking overnight in 1 quart hot water with 1/4/ cup vinegar.
Chopping and Bread Boards: wipe down with fullstrength white vinegar to disinfect-leave overnight; or sprinkle with baking soda before spraying with vinegar, wait an hour before wiping clean, then rinse with water.
Pots and Pans: clean and polish with paste of baking soda and white vinegar. Remove stubborn, stuck-on food with a 5o/50 vinegar-water soak.
Glass and China: stop spotting by mixing 1/2 cup white vinegar in dishwater, or by placing 1 cup vinegar on bottom rack of electric dishwasher before starting wash.
Drains and Pipes: keep fresh-smelling and free-flowing with 1/3 cup of baking soda followed by a cup of white vinegar. Cover drain opening with plate for an hour or longer before flushing through with cold water.
Garbage disposals: keep clean by grinding up frozen white vinegar ice cubes once weekly (80/20 vinegar-water solution to make cleansing ice cubes).
